About Ebru Dorman

Ebru Dorman started her career in 1995 at McKinsey & Co. serving in their Istanbul, London, Helsinki and Warsaw offices. She worked in investment banking with Goldman Sachs, in venture capital with Morgan Stanley Strategic Ventures and Orange Ventures in London. Her telecoms career includes Vice President roles at France Telecom and Maxis in Malaysia. After 17 years abroad, in 2013 Ebru returned to Turkey as Deputy CEO at Acıbadem Healthcare Group (IHH).

Between 2015 – 2020, Ebru served as CEO and Board Member of MV Holding, a privately owned conglomerate with investments in technology, renewable energy and hospitality sectors. During this period, Ebru also served as Chairwoman of StartersHub, a seed stage VC fund; Chairwoman of Livinsoft, Board Director at KVK, Paycore, The LifeCo; Advisory Committee Member of Revo Capital VC and Taxim Capital PE funds.

Ebru currently serves as Independent Board Member at HSBC Turkey, Borusan Logistics and Saran Group.

Ebru is an angel investor under the umbrella of Dorman Capital and mentor to entrepreneurs of all ages. She is also a supporter of several NGOs; as Vice Chair at Mind Your Waste Foundation, Board Member at Women on Board Association and Turkey Informatics Foundation; Advisory Board Member at Artificial Intelligence and Technology Association, Turkey’s Engineer Girls and Member of the Board of Trustees at Boğaziçi University Foundation.

Ebru has an MBA from Harvard Business School (’99), Masters in Industrial Engineering from UC Berkeley (’95), and BS degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorus University (’94).
